Our trip to Burot Beach Batangas was our
first solo trip as a couple. It was really exciting as we were about to make
more memories of us! But, we know traveling would cost us much and we wanted to
search for a vacation trip which would be both fun and not so expensive. Here
is the account of our trip, we hope you get so much from it and try Burot Beach
for yourselves cause the place is really beautiful and at the same time sulit!
It was around 3 in the afternoon when we
started our trip. We thought it was quite late to be traveling some place we’re
not familiar but we pushed through thinking that traveling early the next day,
which is a holiday (June 12) would cause us more hassle because of heavy
traffic etc!
So, from SM Calamba City, Laguna we rode a
jeep to Turbina. We tried to catch the bus to Lemery, or Lipa, but they rarely
pass by. So, we took the jeep to Lipa, then another jeep to Lemery. It was
already dinner time (7:30 PM) when we reached Lemery so we ate first and
thought of a contingency plan of renting a hotel room to get the night by. We
were really worried that we will not make it to the last trip to Calatagan. But
we still tried, so we rode the tricycle to Xentro and took the van to Lian, our
third to the last ride. We were really tired by that time but we knew we have
to keep our guards up for potential threats. The only question was, “Are we there yet?”
So when we arrived at Lian, we were very
dismayed to hear that we just missed the last trip, around 8 PM. Without any
other options, we rented a quite pricey tricycle that would bring us straight
to Burot Beach. That was the part where we were really scared of what can
happen, the roads were empty and silent. And in the middle of our ride, the
tricycle went out of gas and a group of gangster (if I may say) approached our
tricycle and tapped its roof. We were relieved they did not harm us or
anything. When we reached the gate of Burot beach, it was closed due to curfew
but they still let us in. We just needed to rent another tricycle so that we
can get to the shore.
Finally, we arrived! It was almost
midnight. Gosh, we were really tired. Since there were no rooms and only tent
rentals, we got one that is good for two persons. We also rented torch lights
because there were no lamp posts all over the beach. It was really private and
secluded. We spent some time stargazing
before we finally rested.

Island Hopping - Burot Beach |
The next morning, after sipping coffee, we
immediately dived into the sea. It was low tide and the water was so clear that
you can see starfish. We strolled around the island and took great pictures. By
9 AM, there was a lady selling Tulingan fish and we bought almost 10 pcs for
100php. We also bought charcoal, onions, soy sauce, and paper plates from a
small store in the area. Also, we rented a grill and started cooking. We rested
under the shades and took some time to eat, play, and drink some beer. Those
are the precious moments we are happy to spend with each other!
Probably the highlight of our vacation
trip is when we went island hopping!
By 12 NOON, we rented a boat to take us to three places: Puting buhangin, Starfish
seeing, and Coral diving. It was
so beautiful! We were so happy to found Nemo and Patrick star! LOL!
Around 2 PM, we went back to our tent,
took selfies, and prepared to go home. There were available restrooms, but
don’t expect too much for they only provide the basic needs.

to Calamba. We paid 70Php. Indeed, our trip home was relatively faster than our

PM.
Lastly, we ended the night with a sumptuous
dinner at Max’s – eating the classic roasted chicken and the best spicy tofu!
Thumbs up to this experience!
